…Just a quick rant about what I’ve been up to on the side lines. Lately, I’ve been seeing allot of awesome “speed paintings” on you tube and have reallly reeally been wanting to make some of my own! Soooo…right now, I have created several speed sketches, and even figured out how to add music, edit and record the whole thing! Wooo! It sad how many people who make the speed paintings don’t really TELL you how they did it, what programs they used, how to speed it up…etc. So < I really had to do a lot of leg work on my end and just make a ton of mistakes before I found something that has worked for me! See below for one of the first vids I made of a self portrait sketch! Wooo!

*Ahem!* Anyhow, Just added the new Gallery page to the site. It is small, but I believe I have a good start going. My intention is not only to post my work there - but visitors work as well! Along with contests (with prizes, of course) and what not! That’s just the gallery page…just wait till I get to the rest of those dang pages!….yeeeah, that might be another four months in the waiting.
Ah! I digress! Things are busy at my end, but have been taking a few days off to re-center and re-focus on things in my neck of the woods. I have a huge check list of personal projects I’ve put on the back burner for far too long and plan on putting a check next to each and every one of them in the not too distant future. This site being one of them!
…for now. The moment I start on this site, I have a million other things I have to do. Actually, its a priority thing, do work and pay the bills…oooor update my site. I *did* have some free time, but I needed it to just get away from my studio and re-coupe from everything. Been kinda down in the dumps from stress and other stuff IRL - but things will be ok once I settle a few things out on my part. Just gotta keep focused on the projects I have on hand right now and everything will fall into place eventually.

Yup, its that time of year again, folks. The dreaded birthday bug has bit me again and now I can say that I’m starting to feel like an old fart. This sketch I did shows you what a cute llil’ tike I was…had a teething problem and the bite marks on my tail to prove it! >_<
Well, I was treated to dinner at my all time fav restaurant (real high class place too) - Chick-filet and a movie (saw Iron Man - hope all you who have seen it stayed till the end of the credits! I always do at any movie cuz you never know if there’s a surprise at the end ^^). I have not been to the theater since, well, Transformers first came out, so it was a real treat. ^_^
Still working on the site. Been distracted with having to put promotional stuff together for my freelance work, especially press releases on my latest commission. Will be calling someone from the local paper here for a phone interview on my sculpture. It will be interesting, as I do not think I’m prepared. But publicity is good and I hope to at least get a few more leads with this article. We shall see.
Will keep you all posted on the sites progress. Need to make my phone call now, wish me luck!
Yes folks, my three month long journey of muscling my way through mounds of copper and aluminum have finally come to an end (till I receive a commission from someone who wants one just like it…but ten times bigger…! O.o;;;;). 8′x16′ of pure adrenaline, elbow grease and unadulterated FUN was put into this thing and I would not have traded it for anything….well except maybe the four days of sleep I lost right at the end when I was scrambling to get everything finished by the 21st of last week….wowsa! The image above was me signing one of the stars at the end of the grand opening for the office building. After all the hustle and bustle of mounting this thing, I completely forgot to sign it!! So, one blue sharpie (and several glasses of white wine later), the piece is signed. ^^
So, what does this mean, you ask? Well, I plan to take a breather for a few days and try to wrap things up with this site before heading into my next project. How ’bout them apples? Well, its exciting for me (my only visitor to this site…but at least I’ll feel better when completed). Will add updates here and on the main page as completed.
Till then, stay out of trouble and always remember to wear your sun screen when out at the beach, kids! Or you’ll end up like a lobster such as myself!!….(don’t ask…hadn’t been to the beach in forever and decided to treat myself to a day of swimming in the ocean and soaking up rays….w/o the dang sun screen). Three hours later I come home to what looks like I took a bath in 10 gallons of red Kool-Aid mix….*sigh*

On another note, Simon’s Cat has another animation! You MUST check this out, I don’t know how these guys do it, but they capture the true essence of “cat-ness” and the quirks we have to a “T”!!
I am up to my fuzzy ill’ ears in a huge project right now. Slated to be done at the end of May. So, I will not be available to finish anything up on my site until after that date. If this were a few years back and I was working on web sites left and right, I’d be able to finish this up in a heart beat. Its very frustrating on my part because I literally had to re-learn everything I knew and did even from a few years back because everything is updating constantly. Whether it be XHTML, JAVA, FLASH and all the scripting that goes along with that big head-ache, along with CSS, which I seems to be getting a grasp on - its just going to be an arduous process of learning when I have the time to and really hammering it into my over-filled noggin.
For the time being, please accept this truly Diz-of-knee classic for your viewing pleasure. ….Now I have that stinkin’ Irish jig stuck in my head! -Enjoy!

Okay, okay, so its more like these blogs are me talking to myself at this point, but I know I promised ‘myself’ that new pages would be up and they are not at this point in the game. I apologize to those of you who are actually reading this blog. Things will be up and running soon, but unfortunately, life kinda gets in the way of some things…
